How to Connect Soundsuit to a Q-SYS Audio System

Soundsuit can be integrated with Q-SYS systems using standard audio stream URLs. This allows you to distribute different music streams to different areas of your venue while managing all music content directly from Soundsuit.

How It Works

For each Soundsuit zone (for example: Restaurant, Patio, Bar, Terrace, Lounge, Reception, etc.), Soundsuit provides a dedicated audio stream URL in either HTTP or .PLS format.

These stream URLs can be added directly into your Q-SYS Designer project and assigned to the corresponding outputs, amplifiers, or audio zones within your Q-SYS environment.

Each zone receives its own dedicated music stream.

Music Management

Once the integration is configured, all music management takes place within Soundsuit:

• Select playlists or AI Stations for each zone
• Create music schedules
• Change music remotely
• Adjust zone settings
• Manage multiple locations

No modifications are required in Q-SYS when changing music content or schedules. Q-SYS simply receives and distributes the audio streams provided by Soundsuit.

Supported Q-SYS Systems

Soundsuit is compatible with Q-SYS installations capable of receiving network audio streams, including systems based on:

• Q-SYS Core processors
• Q-SYS amplifiers
• Q-SYS Designer projects using network audio sources

Important: Access to Stream URLs

For security and operational reasons, Soundsuit stream URLs (HTTP or .PLS) are not publicly displayed within the platform.

If you require direct stream URLs for integration with Q-SYS or another third-party audio system, please contact Soundsuit Support.

Our team will provide the appropriate stream URLs for your specific account and sound zones through a dedicated support conversation.

Because these URLs provide direct access to your audio streams, they should be treated as confidential information and should not be shared publicly.
