How to Import a Spotify Playlist into Soundsuit

If you'd like to import an existing Spotify playlist into Soundsuit, you can do so directly from both the web platform and the mobile app.

On the Soundsuit Web App

1. Log in to your Soundsuit account.
2. Open the left-hand navigation menu.
3. Click Import from Spotify.
   
   
    
4. Paste the Spotify playlist link you would like to import.
   
   
    
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to create your Soundsuit playlist.

On the Soundsuit Mobile App (iOS & Android)

1. Open the Soundsuit app and log in.
2. Go to Library.
3. Tap + New.
4. Select Playlist.
5. Choose Import from Spotify.
6. Paste your Spotify playlist link and start the import.
   
   

Important: Spotify Editorial Playlists

If you're trying to import a Spotify playlist and it doesn't work, the playlist may be an editorial playlist created by Spotify (or generated by Spotify's recommendation engine), rather than a playlist that belongs to a Spotify user.

Examples include playlists such as Today's Top Hits, All Out 80s, Coffee Table Jazz, Deep Focus, or AI-generated playlists created by Spotify.

Spotify restricts direct copying of these editorial playlists, which prevents Soundsuit (and many other services) from importing them directly.

How to import an editorial playlist

Fortunately, there's a simple workaround:

1. Open the editorial playlist in Spotify.
2. Select all tracks.
3. Create a new playlist in your own Spotify library.
4. Add all the selected tracks to this new playlist.
5. Copy the link (URL) of your newly created playlist.
6. Import this new playlist into Soundsuit.

Because this playlist now belongs to your Spotify library, Spotify allows it to be imported successfully.

Tip: If a Spotify playlist won't import, creating your own copy of it first usually solves the issue.

Before You Start

Make sure you're using the latest version of the Soundsuit app.

• iPhone & iPad: Update via the App Store.
• Android: Update via Google Play.

Using the latest version ensures that all Spotify import features are available and working correctly.
